So I’ve been thinking about how to give y’all this gist, it’d just be wrong for me to do it an injustice!
In case you haven’t heard, Grease is the word on the street only this time it’s Naija style!
Krump Studios has boldly taken on the feat of adapting Grease ,the 70’s classic by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, to the stage in a full length dance theatre production! Yes you heard me, Krump Studios is going Broadway with the first dance theatre production in Abuja.
Filled with an array of dancers, energetic routines and naija infusions the production promises to be one of a kind.
Before I babble on like an over excited child, lemme tell you about Krump Studios.
Krump Studios is a dance fitness, training and entertainment company that uses dance as a medium of expression and communication as well as a source of livelihood. Owned and managed by Mima Angulu, an experienced dancer and performing arts enthusiast, Krump Studios aims to promote dance as a viable career path, a lifestyle for health and wellness, create world class services and produce exportable art straight out of Nigeria.
With this in mind, it’s no surprise that Krump Studios would pioneer Broadway productions in the city of Abuja.
